IBM Watson Trend App Reviews

Not useful

Three categories (tech, toys, and health). Lists a dozen tvs/computers, and a few toys, the Fitbit, and Nike running shoes. No prices, no reviews, no specs. No good new ideas. Just not useful at all.

Just dont get it.

Has to be the dumbest ever. No prices no comparisons few categories. Not ready for prime time. Come on Watson/IBM. You can do better then this.

Useful, great app.

Im enjoying using Watson Trend app. Its easy to use, understand, and actually uses consumers POV to encourage your shopping needs. I can see the value this app will have as it continues to learn more ways of guiding consumers to the right retail purchases.

Excited for whats ahead!

They just unveiled this app and rolled it to the public in under two months to get it ready in time for Black Friday - imagine how beneficial this app can continue to be as it expands to several categories. One platform to search the quality of items of future purchases without navigating the entire internet or trusting one Joe Schmo, but rather using Watsons brain and searching capacity to search the entire internet. This is the future of purchasing common goods. Watson trends is like knowledgeable salesman without an agenda who understands that my time is valuable. Keep the categories coming!

Gift-givers Dream

I love the non-biased nature of this app. I want to know whats really hot, not just what retailers want to sell me. I love finding the perfect gift and this will help me do just that!

Really Cool

This app is really cool. Ive found ideas for gifts I wouldnt have known were cool and now I can buy them before everyone else. Just need more categories!

Help me!

Im not a great judge of whats trending...this had surely helped. Thanks to IBM, I can now figure what my children want for Christmas.

Ingenious!

I have the hardest time figuring out what to get friends and relatives. This app helps you find gifts that are the right fit for the right age and person!

Good App, hopefully it grows

The app does what it says it will do and show you the “trending” gifts. Hopefully in he future it will expand to more products and more product categories. For those complaining it doesn’t show the best deals, I don’t see where it claims to be a deal finding app. It might be a feature they can add i the future but there are other Apps out there to find the deals. This app is designed to show what’s trending not what’s on sale.

Literally a website packaged as an app

This needs to stop. Dont publish an app if all youre doing is packaging up a web view. IBM is a huge company. Im sure you can afford to hire some decent iOS developers.

So cool!

This app is really great for seeing whats trending in our society. And the research with it is pretty cool too! Would be neat to search by gender and age as well.

Excellent!

This handy app has made my Christmas shopping a lot easier! No annoying pop-ups. Simple and fun. Thanks IBM - and whoever Watson is :)

Black Friday!

Very helpful app!

AI

Hey Watson. How about a category for the best AI?

Lacks imagination.

Poor use of a supercomputer. To pick the perfect gift, Watson should be able to individualize the gift based upon an individuals age, gender, interest, etc. In its current iteration, users should just use google instead

More useless Watson marketing

IBM needs to give up, really. This app is nothing more than a marketing piece for Watson.

Abominable waste of processor power

One of the most pointless apps Ive downloaded since the first year of iOS. Seriously IBM devs should hide their heads in shame or point their finger at the dumb as5 marketing folks who made them do this. Im guessing theres some hidden power behind the dumbed down superficial info presented and the only reason for 2 instead of 1 star. Not sure why a computer that can practically cure cancer has been asked to summarize Samsung TV reviews: "BIG AND FLAT [or curved] AND OMMFFGG SO CHEAP COMPARED TO LAST YEAR." Yes, we all know that, thanks Watson for that incredible insight.

Doesnt actually offer any new insights

The app just shows you a few products per category, like a "most popular" section on an ecommerce website. "Watson" (the algorithm) doesnt have any info on the person youre picking a gift for, so its just a list of things people like. Pretty goddamn useless.

Not a Deal Finding App

This app helps gathers Watsons predictions, and adds in some charts and reasons why the product is trending. If youre looking for a deal, this isnt for you. On the other hand, if you want to know what the availability for an item is - at retail price - this should help. No bugs for me, and the layout is simple. Much like other people that reviewed this app, there should be more categories. Hopefully Watson could generate a few, and help the devs who made this app.

Glorified web browser

This app is terrible. Its nothing but a glorified web browser serving up a confusing experience.
